Wind Ridge Estates HOA, Dallas Texas

Our patrolling cars are clearly marked
with a front door sign.

Who We Are

The Crime Watch Committee is composed of a number of our Wind Ridge residents who volunteer to routinely patrol our streets. They are not employees of the HOA and serve simply as private citizens who are concerned with our subdivisions security.

A large sign on each front door of the security patrol vehicle identifies us as a crime watch patrol. A list of the members of the committee can be found under the "contacts" link.

Our Crime Watch

HOW IT WORKS

Crime watch members monitor and report suspicious activity. We drive about the neighborhood slowly. We are visible – we want everyone to know we are watching. We drive at random times, 2 or 3 times a week or more.

We never, ever confront a suspicious person or put ourselves or our neighbors in danger. We do not carry a weapon of any kind. We are acting as concerned citizens, not cops.

We keep in the car a cell phone and pencil and paper to record license plates, addresses, etc. We report suspicious activity to 911. We will identify ourselves as a “Neighborhood Watch” person on patrol.

We might carry optional patrol items such as a camera and, for nighttime patrols, a flashlight.
