When is regular trash pickup?
Dallas picks up our regular and recycled trash once a week on Fridays. Trash should be at the curb by 7 AM in the gray (regular) and blue (recycle) containers provided by Dallas. Empty containers should be returned to your garage by the following morning. Any trash containers stored on the street or in your driveway are CC&R (HOA) violations.
When is "bulk" trash pickup?
Dallas picks up large, bulky trash items once a month. Our week is the first full M-F week of the month. Bulky items include large limbs, shrubbery, leaves (must be bagged), furniture, appliances, mattresses, etc. They will not collect debris from construction, demolition or clearing of land unless an additional fee has been paid. No dirt, rock or concrete will be removed.
If you put bulk trash out too early, you have violated a city ordinance. No material may be placed out front earlier than 7:00 AM on Thursday prior to collection week. It must be in place by 7:00 AM the Monday of the pick up week (we do not know which exact day of the week they will pick it up -- but it is usually early in the week). Violations of this city ordinance are cited by the Homeowner's Association and ticketed by the City of Dallas. Report violators by calling 311.

Why is an Abandoned Car
Parked on my Street?
Dallas does not allow the public streets to be used for vehicle storage so our residents must find other ways to store RVs, boats, or unused vehicles. If a vehicle is parked in the street for more than 24 hours without being moved, it is considered an abandoned vehicle. Report these code violations by calling 311. Violators will be ticketed by the Dallas police and the city will tow the abandoned vehicle to the Dallas auto impound lot at the owner's expense.
